Launched in 2017, Pitch Futures is an initiative founded by Sherry Collins (her / us) to inspire and educate primary school children about the opportunities available to them in the creative industries. Since then, over 300 school children have attended creative classes hosted by Sherry, featuring talent from across the advertising creative industry. Classes were held in conjunction with D&AD, and advertising agencies, including Havas, and adam&eveDDB.

Over the coming years, Pitch Futures will be heading to Jamaica to inspire and educate children on the island about the advertising creative industry, and the film industry.

Pitch Futures at adam&eveDDB

adam&eveDDB hosted our Pitch Futures Creative Class with primary school children from St Anne's Primary School in London. The children had a blast learning about the different career paths they could take up in future. They also heard from the talent behind their favourite John Lewis adverts and got to pitch their own ideas for future adverts. A super-charged inspiring day.

Pitch Futures at HAVAS

Pitch Futures held its first Creative Class with Havas London. Year six children from Rushmore Primary School, our pilot school, had the opportunity to visit the creative agency and learn directly about what creative directors, strategists, producers, and account directors do in their roles.

The children also had the chance to work with Havas’ creative teams on live briefs and brainstormed ideas together in groups. They presented their ideas to Elliot Harris, Creative Partner / Global Executive Creative Director at Havas. Elliot gave feedback to each team about their ideas. He selected a winning team, who were presented with medals. A lovely time.

Pitch Futures Launch

Pitch Futures was launched with D&AD in early December 2017. Children from Rushmore primary school in Hackney, London, our pilot school, met with talent to learn about the advertising creative industry. The children met with our film crew and were interviewed on what it meant to be creative. We had a lovely time.
